    Probably my favorite unusual boys name is Jovian, a name that my Husband and I found and are hoping to put to use some day. For girls I really like Prudence which really isn’t strange it’s just old fashioned.

    Kai is a nice name.

    Try Gaelic names:
    Finn, Pádraig, Áedán, Máirtín for boys
    Mairead, Aisling, Máirín, Bríghid for girls

    Unusual, yes, but not weird.
    To me, Kai sounds like food from Hawaii….

    I like the name Chi (short for China) and Maya and Ivonne for a girl. And the name Romeo or Fraiser for a boy. And I don’t really like the name Kai, it’s too common where I live.

    My middle boy is called Kai though I can see it getting more popular as that’s what Wayne Rooney called his son. My other two boys are called Morton and Ashdon. my youngest was a girl and we called her Ellie-Rose but she does have an unusual middle name (Pleione) which is my mother-in -laws name
