Celeb unusual baby names?

For all parents or for anyone who has a strong opinion on this topic. Do you think its okay for every day average people to take Celeb trend of baby names? Like I’m not going to lie I loved the name Shiloh but the only reason why I liked it was because it was Brad Pitts baby. Now it wont even cross my mind. And doesn’t it annoy you that people want all these unusual names because they don’t want popular names even though they are following a popular trend?

Like the names I like for my kids are very common but I wouldn’t want to name my child Apple or Moses or Cocoa… I would rather name my daughter Jillian or Alivia etc.

What are you guys opinions do you the naming of Celebs and does it make you want unusual or do you want common cute names that you would like with out the help of wacky celeb names

I agree. I love when people say they want their kids to have unusal names and not a trendy one.. but unusual is trendy right now. There was a time when Jennifer and Michael were trendy too, now they are common. What do you think is gonna happen with all the "unusual" names people are using right now? One day – they will be common names. unusual names dont make a person more unique – I dont understand why people try so hard to name their kids these off the wall names.
As far as regular people naming their kids the way Celebs do – they do you just dont hear about it. what about the hawiian girl who was named Tullah Does The Hullah, she went into foster care and the state got the rights to leagally change her name to something more "normal".

My daughters name is Hayley. I got it from Hayley Mills, from Parent Trap. I thought it was beautiful and girly.
My oldest son – Caden. Now i know thatt became a trend but i had honestly never met another child with that name until he was 2 weeks old.
My youngest son – Tyler. Loved the name Ty.

I think it’s okay for parents to adopt celebrities baby names. I mean there was this one name I heard a celeb named their baby… It was "Peanut." Now I would never ever name my child peanut but Shiloh and Zaharah are cute names. Ironically both Brad Pitt’s children’s names. Nicole Richie’s daughter was named Harlow, that’s pretty cute.

I like uncommon names, but not to the point that they become ridiculous words. (Apple?? WTF?)

It’s really up to the parent. Honestly, I’m someone who doesn’t want my kid to have the name of a celebrity, but it still happened (I like the name Hazel. I found out later that so did Julia Roberts.)

Parents have always wanted unique names for their kids though. Names that are unusual or that have special significance. Is it annoying? No. I’d rather see one child named something than see them be in a class with 5 Emily’s. ugh.

The trend does give us the courage to pick an unusual name but different people have different idea of what is sensible.
I can understand names like Caleb, Jesse, Aden, Noah, Orlando.
I struggle with MoonUnit, Blanket, Satchelmouth.

Some celebrity baby names are cute, but others are just pathetic and crazy. My favorites are Shiloh Nouvel, Zahara Marley (her middle name is my first name, hehe), Sunday Rose, Suri, and Violet.
