Spring has returned with an invitation to come outside and enjoy the fresh air. Winterâ??s ice and snow have melted away– gone forever like bad memories, the sidewalks and streets are dry, clear, and passable. Green replaces brown as the color of the local landscape. The Sun is shining bright; there is a fresh crispness in the air as gentle breezes enter through the newly opened windows delivering the invitation. The temperatures hover around sixty degrees. Parents read the invitation again: â??Come, come outside and play, enjoy the outdoors with meâ?â?¦signed â??Springâ?.

Mothers and Fathers, who have safely bundled up their babies and toddlers with layers of clothes during the winter months and carried them over the ice and snow, begin to slowly return to the neighborhood sidewalk and streets, parks, and malls, pushing their small babies along in their strollers. New parents or parents-to-be begin to shop for baby strollers so they can join other neighborhood moms or dads who set out for the great outdoors in response to springâ??s invitation.

Life and people like the budding bushes, flowers, and trees reappear in neighborhoods adding themselves to the mosaic street scenes of springtime. The exercising, health minded parents, in steady paces push their baby or babies in their single or double jogging strollers putting in their scheduled run for the day.

The cyclist enthusiasts lovingly secure their precious little ones in the bike trailers already attached to their choice of transportation, and pedal their way around the neighborhood in streets and on sideways with destinations unknown. Their babies and toddlers in their safety compartment enjoy the nice fresh air from their modern day â??horse-drivenâ? carriage that they have been deprived of all winter long.

With only a sweater or jacket as needed outerwear, they regally take in the sights and sounds of the beautiful fresh spring views as the gentle breezes caress their little faces through the screened windows of the enclosed cart. Mom or dad supplies the â??horsepowerâ? in front of them as they enjoy their â??royal rideâ? through neighborhood of the local stately mansions.

Elsewhere, neighborhood moms, with Springâ??s invitation in hand and the other hand on a stroller, join each other leisurely pushing their infants along side by side in single or double umbrella strollers sharing their stories of motherhood, and how they survived the winter doldrums being locked up indoors all season long. Each new breath of springâ??s fresh air is really a sigh of relief of freedom for these winter prisoners. Off to the local park they go to join other proud parents to present their blessed children to each other (maybe for the first time), share parenting strategies and techniques, and catch up on the latest happenings in their neighborhoods.

Strollers these days come in many brand names, such BOB, Maclaren, TikeTech, and Bugaboo with different models that cater to sports minded parents, all-terrain, walking, jogging, cycling or hybrids. There are wide varieties of shapes and sizes for single, double, or triples passengers. They have umbrella type coverings, retractable canopies, prams, open air types, or enclosed cabins. Like in a paint store the colors are plentiful. There are three wheelers and four wheelers. There are set wheels and swivel wheels. They may have one carrying compartment or multiple compartments for the journeyâ??s needed cargo. Thereâ??s something to meet every parentâ??s need to safely share the lovely outdoors and warm weather with their precious little child or children.

So let the good times roll as moms and dads, walking, jogging, or biking return to the sidewalks and streets of our neighborhoods; and reminds us all to look for that invitation to enjoy the outdoors, the fresh air, and the new life all around us, especially when we peek into those strollers to get a glimpse of the cute little babies who are their passengers.

Children and babies are especially vulnerable to the potentially harmful effects of toxins that due to the nature of modern day society are ever increasing.

To understand why we have to look – in the first instance -at the sheer rate of development that a baby undertakes in his or her first days, a period when serious bonding and inherent factors are put in place.
The importance of bonding
The first few weeks of a new born baby’s life are among the most important, particularly in terms of bonding with the mother. This is a natural process that has its roots in the ages of evolution, and can lead to a level of understanding and connection that is simply unbreakable in future years. This natural bonding process takes place in all mammals, and examples can be seen in the ability of a mother cat, say, to reject kittens that were not immediately with her after birth.
Humans have the advantage of rational thought, however, and the bonding is more prevalent from child to mother than it is vice versa.
Crying, and what it means
A baby crying is not always a signal of distress, although it often can be, but is an extension of a primitive communication system. The baby has yet to develop the means to speak, yet it can make audible sounds – crying is an example of attention seeking that is simply a natural response to unfamiliar situations. The consoling of a child by the mother by movement – pick the baby up and move it as comes naturally – is effective as that same motion was experienced in the womb, an environment that was comforting and entirely natural to the child. These psychological nuances exist throughout life, and are formed during this very early phase of life.
Picking a baby up when it is crying and swathing it in a comforting blanket will generally stem the crying, and if this is not the case then medical help should be considered – especially if it is unusual.
Sleep patterns
Babies life patterns follow set routines – they eat, and they sleep – and this continues for a long period of time. The development rate of a baby at this point in its life is meteoric, as all of its basic systems are still forming and growing and the energy consumed is quite phenomenal. This is why they eat very regularly, and why they sleep in often unsocial patterns!
A baby needs to feed often, as it has no option. It is simply a necessity that is akin to taking in fuel in order to power mechanical functions. The body of a newborn baby begins growing immediately it is born, and with so many vital organs to put in place the amount of food consumed is vast compared to body weight.
New mothers will notice their baby growing at a quite alarming rate, and the weight it will put on in these first tentative months can often be of concern to an inexperienced mother. It is entirely natural, however, and simply commensurate to the growth rate of a new born child. If the mother does suspect something may be wrong, she must not feel averse to asking an expert – babies are fragile life forms, and need constant care.
The basics
It will surprise the new mother how quickly she picks up the basics of motherhood, and this is because most of it is inherent common sense that has been embedded in our subconscious over time. Many mothers worry about how to hold a baby, yet suddenly find it entirely natural and others about how to know when the baby needs feeding – believe me, you’ll know!
The truth is that motherhood is simply one facet of life – it is, after all, what we are built for.

He combined all the past information that he was thought to be reliable with some modern techniques, research and observations of his own through years of medical practice in his field of work, and theorised Four Ancient Principles. These were the missing “4th” trimester, the “calming” reflex, the five “S’s” and the cuddle cure – all of these were crucial in how to comprehend our baby so that we develop the ability to able to soothe and comfort them. This will help our baby to develop healthily early on in life and follow a restful slee pattern.
