what are some good indian baby names? {boy and girl}?

I am having a baby with my husband and i would like to know a few ideas for indian baby names please. For a baby boy and a baby girl. Please help.
The last name is Fernandez.
10 easy points!

there are some simply lovely indian names, and then there are some that aren’t quite as lovely.
stick to something short-ish: don’t go over 3 syllables; i can pretty much guarantee you that your child doesn’t want to be saddled with a name like swaminarayanan or something!

hmmm well i’m half indian, and my name’s riya. i get all sorts of compliments on that all the time; apparently its quite unique? (but it can also be spelled ria, rea, reah, etc.)

for a boy, you can go with Kevan (pronounced a bit like Kevin..), Milan (pronounced Mill-en, with accent on first syllable), Kamal, Kiran, Kunal, Samir / Sameer, Vivek, Neil, etc.

for a girl, Aishwarya, Analia, Divya / Diya, Kanika, Kari, Kavya, Malika, Nadia, Natasha, Tara… there are so many out there!

hope that helped, and congratulations on your baby!!

My supervisor is indian and she named her baby girl Divya. It’s pronounced Di-vee-ah. And for a boy, there’s a professor here, he’s indian and his name is Kailas. It’s pronounced Kai-less

    So Divya and Kailas Fernandez
